Book Summary:

"Siobhan! Goodness. What a thrill ride with Harlow and her boys! I'm in love with them all!"-- Ilsa Madden-Mills, Wall Street Journal bestselling author

Rebellion, the shocking second installment in the all-new dark, reverse harem series The Sainthood- Boys of Lowell High from USA Today bestselling author Siobhan Davis, is available now!

Everything changed the night he betrayed me, and now, the game has entered a new level.

Galen did me a favor, reminding me the only person I can count on is myself, and I’m more determined than ever to avenge my father’s death and avoid the destiny Sinner has mapped out for me.

Saint is used to calling the shots, but there are new rules, my rules, and if he wants me in his life, and in his bed, he’ll toe the line. They all will, because I can’t pull this off alone, and they owe me.

Sinner thinks he’s in control, but forcing me into initiation plays right into my hands. War has come to Lowell as rival gangs battle The Sainthood for ultimate power, and I enjoy rebelling from the inside, placing more obstacles in Sinner’s path while I exact my revenge.

But I’m not some innocent thirteen-year-old anymore—I have blood on my hands and lethal enemies on my tail.

I’m playing a dangerous game, especially where my heart is concerned, but there’s no turning back. I haven’t come this far to walk away empty-handed, and the more secrets we uncover, the more we realize how far-reaching the betrayal and corruption extend, and there’s no choice anymore.

The Sainthood must be taken down, and we’re the only ones who can do it.

My Thoughts:

Rebellion, the second book of The Sainthood-Boys of Lowell High Series, began where the first book, Resurrection left off.  Harlow "Lo" doesn't know if she can trust the Sainthood, even though she wants to.  Her feelings and emotional attachment have grown regarding Saint, as has her fondness for Theo and Caz.  However, she distrusts Galen, with very good reason.

Lo is determined to take down Saints' dad, and head of the M.C., Sinner.  The guys are on board, as they know what a vile man he is, and want him out of the picture just as much as Lo does.

What follows is a sequel where the stakes are much higher than book one.  As the plot thickened, I found myself reading an addictive storyline that delivered more danger, suspense, steamy seduction, drama, and deceit than the first book in the series. Lo was faced with enemies on many fronts, but proved herself to be strong and resilient!

I could not tear my eyes away from my kindle, as I read Rebellion.  The plot was so good, and I loved the unpredictability, surprises, and fast pace of this exciting storyline!  The characters were fascinating, and I loved getting to know them better, and discovering their many layers, especially Lo and Saint.  This is a story that must be read in order, as everything that happens is sequential, and built upon.

If you are looking for a story that you can completely lose yourself in, look no further!  Rebellion was an excellent reading escape that flew by, and held me captive.  It delivered everything that I could want in a story from suspense, danger, and surprises, to lust, seduction, and falling in love!  If you enjoy reverse harem stories, The Sainthood-Boys of Lowell High Series should be at the top of your reading list.  This is the best I have read in this sub genre.  Siobhan Davis never fails to deliver an excellent story, no matter the sub genre!

Book Excerpt:

Things with Theo were always complicated yet simple. Difficult yet as easy as breathing. Our relationship now is no less complex, but I know I need to fix things with him. It’s no different from Galen in that regard. I can’t cause a divide in the group with me, Caz, and Saint on one side and Galen and Theo being frozen out on the other side. But even if I do patch things up with them, I still don’t see how it ends up working out. There are too many barriers to unity, especially with Theo.

I remove my hand from Caz’s. “Hey, could you give us a minute?” I gesture toward Theo.

“Sure.” He kisses my lips. “I’ll grab us a table.”

Theo lifts his head, his eyes finding mine, and I hate the anguish I discover there, because I know I’m partly responsible for it. I step toward him. “Hey.” I peer into his beautiful hazel eyes. Green is most prominent today, but his pupils are ringed in a layer of brown and amber, and I could stare at his handsome face all day. Tentatively, I reach out, cupping one side of his face. “You doing okay?”

He shrugs, looking away, and I tilt his face around with my fingers. “Don’t do that. Please.”

“It hurts so much to look at you sometimes,” he admits, his voice cracking a bit.

“I know.” I press my forehead to his, and my heart beats wildly out of control. “I’m sorry if I hurt you with Caz in the car.”

“It’s not that,” he says. “I just miss you, Lo. Miss the way we were.” His hands land on my hips.

“I miss you so fucking much,” I whisper. Tears sting my eyes, and I’m horrified. I pull back, because I can’t break down here. “Can we go to the park tonight? Just you and me. Like old times?”

His eyes turn glassy, and a soft smile graces his lips. “I would like that. We are long overdue a talk.”
I nod. “You hurt me, Theo, and I’m not sure I’m ready yet, but I want to try.”

“I want to try too, because I want to fix things with us.”
“Do you think we can?”

He shrugs. “I don’t know. I think I’m even more confused than I was back then.”

“Because of me or someone else?” I gently inquire.
His eyes pop wide. “Is it—”

I shake my head. “I don’t think it’s obvious.”
The door opens, and Caz pops his head out. “You guys coming or what?”

“Always so impatient.” Theo punches him in the arm, but he’s smiling. “We’re coming.” He reaches back, and I take his hand, letting him lead me inside.

Book Synopsis:

My whole world changed when I stepped inside the academy. Nothing is right about this place or the other students in it. Here I am, a mere mortal among gods…or monsters. I still can’t decide which of these warring factions I belong to, if I belong at all. I only know the one thing that unites them is their hatred of me.

Then there’s Jaxon Vega. A vampire with deadly secrets who hasn’t felt anything for a hundred years. But there’s something about him that calls to me, something broken in him that somehow fits with what’s broken in me.

Which could spell death for us all.

Because Jaxon walled himself off for a reason. And now someone wants to wake a sleeping monster, and I’m wondering if I was brought here intentionally—as the bait.

My Thoughts:

Crave was a book that immediately pulled me in.  In a challenging time where reading, watching tv, or focusing on any other enjoyable activity feels impossible, this story was the escape that I desperately needed.

Grace has been forced to leave San Diego, after her parents were killed in a car accident.  Now she's moved to Alaska to attend Katmere Academy, where her Uncle Finn is the headmaster.  Things don't go so well when Grace arrives.  While she's impressed by the architecture of her boarding school, which resembles  an elaborate gothic castle, she gets severely ill with altitude sickness, isn't received well by most of the other students, and finds her life in danger too many times to count!

Her cousin Macy, also her new roommate, goes out of her way to try to make Grace feel welcome, but the rude, brooding, and gorgeous Jaxon Vega, comes off as cold, as he warns her that she needs to leave, because she isn't safe at Katmere. Then there's Flint, who is Jackson's opposite in every way, from his warmth, to his flirty and teasing manner.  He makes Macy comfortable, but doesn't make her heart beat or her stomach flutter the way Jackson does.  One thing is for certain, the students at Katmere Academy are very different from Grace...

Fans of the Twilight franchise, as well as the Lux franchise, are going to love this story.  We have Grace and Jaxon, two characters full of combustible chemistry, that will leave you giddy and spellbound at their every interaction. Crave is told exclusively through Grace's eyes, and I enjoyed her viewpoint.  We see Jaxon start off as a bit cold, but he still goes out of his way to protect Grace right from the very beginning of this story, and it was an Edward and Bella type of Twilight dynamic.

Ms. Wolff did a great job of entertaining me throughout the entire story.  The pacing was perfect!  For being a 592 page book, this story flew by!  The characters were fascinating, and I enjoyed the air of mystery that surrounded them all, as well as trying to guess at what kind of paranormal being they were. There was such a fun and eclectic variety too; with vampires, witches, and dragon and wolf shifters!

Crave was such a high energy read!  Bookworms are going to love the book and movie quote references, the romance, magic, danger, and lure of a book full of exciting magical paranormal creatures. If you are looking for light, entertaining, and exciting, then look no further for the perfect reading escape!

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Tracy Wolff wrote her first short story—something with a rainbow and a prince—in second grade, around the same time she forayed into the wonderful world of girls lit with her first Judy Blume novel. By ten she’d read everything in the young adult and classics sections of her local bookstore, so in desperation her mom started her on romance novels. And from the first page of the first book, Tracy knew she’d found her life-long love. A one-time English professor with over fifty novels to her name, she now devotes most of her time to writing romance and dreaming up heroes. She lives in Austin, Texas, with her family.

Book Review: Scandal in Spring (Wallflowers # 4) By Lisa Kleypas

Quirky and fun-loving American heiress Daisy Bowman is the last unmarried Wallflower. Her exasperated father has informed her that if she can’t find a husband by the end of her third London season, she will be forced to marry a man she hates—the ruthless entrepreneur Matthew Swift.

Daisy is horrified. A Bowman never admits defeat, so she decides to do whatever it takes to marry someone... anyone... other than Matthew. What she doesn’t count on, however, is Matthew’s unexpected charm, or the blazing sensuality that soon flares beyond both their control. And Daisy discovers that the man she has always hated just might turn out to be the man of her dreams.

But when a scandalous secret is uncovered, it could destroy both Matthew and a love more passionate and irresistible than Daisy’s wildest fantasies.

My Thoughts:

Scandal in Spring was the last book in the Wallflowers Series, and it was bittersweet leaving behind my much beloved literary friends, Annabelle, Lillian, Evie, and Daisy, but what a wonderful happily ever after!

Daisy Bowman, Lillian's younger sister, was such a fun character, and one that I could relate to.  Daisy is known for always having her head in a book, and getting lost in her spectacular imagination.  Her father, has given Daisy a short window of time to find a husband, or she will be forced to wed his business associate, Matthew Swift.

Daisy hasn't seen Matthew in many years, but what she remembers of him is a serious stuffed shirt, who always took great strides to impress her father.  Daisy is determined to find a man to marry, and isn't going to be picky; because she doesn't want to get stuck with Matthew.

When Matthew comes to England, she see's a gorgeous man that she doesn't recognize.  As these two spend more time with one another, Daisy finds herself falling in love, but Matthew is hiding a secret from Daisy; one that could put her in danger.  Will Daisy get her happily ever after?

Scandal in Spring was a wonderful love story.  I loved Daisy and Matthew.  She was the relatable bookworm, and Matthew was so sweet and devoted to Daisy.  He had always had feelings for Daisy, but she had never known how he had felt about her.  He genuinely was a good guy that was misjudged, and I was glad when Daisy saw him for who he really was.  These two set my speakers on fire!  Their romance was both sweet and steamy.  Ms. Kleypas has officially cemented a place on my favorite authors shelf!!!
