I've been struggling with focusing on my reading or anything else for that matter with what's happening with the Corona Virus. Has Anyone else? My daughter is going crazy by being cooped up in the house, and I think she's going to slowly drive me crazy! LOL How are you all holding up?
On the Blog this Week:
*Chasing Cassandra (The Ravenels #6) by Lisa Kleypas (Book Review)
*Emerald Blaze (Hidden Legacy #5) by Ilona Andrews (WOW)
*Sparrow by Mary Cecilia Jackson (Blog Tour, Book Review & Giveaway)

It is definitely hard being cooped up at home! I can relate. And the news is so bad that it is hard to concentrate on reading or much else, I agree. Hope you have a good weekend though and be safe!
ReplyDeleteToo Late has me curious with that cover!
I've had to stop watching the news and looking at my Facebook feed. I hope you had a good weekend! Thanks Greg :)
DeleteIt is hard to focus on things when we're so preoccupied with the virus and the latest news and numbers I try to distract myself but it's hard. I have Too Late in paperback - and on the Kindle, I think - and it's about the only one by Colleen I haven't read yet.
ReplyDeleteI hope we both enjoy it Tanya :)
Deletemr wonderful and i have self isolated. thank goodness we are still able to mess around the yard. always a lot to do there.

Yes, the yard is good for occupying your time. Stay safe Sherry :)
DeleteIt's been a week at home and it's already complicated.
ReplyDeleteI also took Too Late to read. Happy reading!
Thanks :) You too Melliane!
DeleteI have been hearing stories from so many parents about having the kids trapped at home. This is like the one time I could have been useful, since I have a masters degree in education, but my daughter is grown. Stay safe!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sam :) You too!
DeleteI've been loving being able to work from home the past week. I've been getting a lot of house stuff and reading done along with work. A lot of people are struggling with being cooped up right now so I'm sorry you and your daughter are struggling. Congrats on getting some goodies this week!

I'm glad that you're enjoying your time off, and are able to work from home Reese :)
DeleteI've been having a hard time reading right now too. I am hoping things start to get better soon.
ReplyDeleteMe too Mary :)
DeleteOh yeah, I've been struggling as well. Can't seem to get my mind off of the virus long enough to focus on anything else. My son is going stir crazy too. Thankfully his teachers have started emailing a little bit of work to him so he can at least fill part of his days with that, but he is just not happy about not being able to hang and play soccer with his friends.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I think the kids are really struggling, and need an outlet to get out their energy.
DeleteIt has been hard for me too, it's going on week two for us but we're retired so our normal days aren't regimented, we also live in a small rural town so I'm still able to walk the dog and check in on our 94 year old neighbor everyday since neither of us has been anywhere. We may take a drive just to get out of the house. But what really concerns me is the many who are not heeding the suggestions of our leaders. They are putting the vulnerable in their family and communities at risk. Stay safe all
ReplyDeleteI agree Debbie! While many people are taking this seriously, there are still too many people that aren't realizing the severity of this situation. Stay safe :)
DeleteLooks like some good books you grabbed up there. I have heard some good things about Siobhan Davis.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy her books :)
DeleteYes, it has been hard to focus! My daughter's little ones have been going crazy, too! Hope things settle down and the shelter in place order helps! Stay safe, Lindy! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Rachel, you too! :)
