This week I was feeling better, but both my husband and daughter got really sick with the flu. I had even less time to myself than when I was sick, because it was a lot of work taking care of her. She's finally doing better, and I am looking forward to having more time to myself next week.
My co-bloggers and I are going to be doing two buddy reads/group reads this month, and I'm really excited! We're going to be reading The Black Witch by Laurie Forest, because I've been in the mood for a witch book, and The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang, because I've heard it's a great book, and Rachel@ Waves of Fiction and Kim@ Caffeinated Reader recommended it!
Last Week on the Blog:
*Storm And Fury by Jennifer L. Armentrout (Review)
*Wicked Saints by Emily A. Duncan (Review)
*Eli's Triumph by Joanna Wylde (WOW)
*Did I Mention I Love You? By Estelle Maskame (Review)
*Did I Mention I Need You? by Estelle Maskame (Review)
*What Are 3 of Your Favorite Contemporary Romances? (Discussion Post)

I'm sorry your daughter and husband were sick this past week - hopefully, they'll both be back in good shape next week so you have time to do your own stuff, Lindy!
ReplyDeleteAll your new books look awesome! I haven't read any Maskame, but both those title really speak to me... I just might have to check them out soon :)
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

Ooh have fun with the buddy reads! And hopefully everyone there feels better soon. It seems like there is so much going around right now and so many people are sick.
ReplyDeleteThe Black Witch definitly looks fun!
Glad you're reading Armentrout, she's got one of those unmistakeable last names that you're sure to remember.
ReplyDeleteYes my daughter also had a flu like bug this week. Sorry it was rough there too. I loved The Kiss Quotient - hope you enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping it's a better week!

Oh, being sick, or having a sick family are the worst! Hope you are all feeling better.
ReplyDeleteYour books look tempting...I'm curious about The Kiss Quotient.
Thanks for sharing...and for visiting my blog.
Oh wow, that's tough when your husband and child are sick! I hope they feel better and you get some rest!
ReplyDeleteYay for The Kiss Quotient! Hope you enjoy it, Lindy! :)
Oh no, it sucks when your husband and kid are sick.
ReplyDeleteDownfall sounds like a good read! I like Jay Crownover's writing.
I really enjoyed the Kiss Quotient, and Black Witch is on my wishlist
ReplyDeleteHave a great reading week
You are going to love The Kiss Quotient! Her new one is fabulous too THe Bride Test, in case you need another after that one. ;) I think I have The Black Witch and have yet to read it. I hope you like it and can't wait to read what you thought about it. I can't remember even seeing reviews for it now which probably means it's been sitting on my kindle way too long. :P
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear that your husband and daughter are sick but at least you are feeling better. Your books look great and I want to read The Kiss Quotient. Have a great week and I hope that your family feels better soon!
ReplyDeleteYikes. Hoping all are well now and that you are still standing! I loved the Kiss Quotient!
ReplyDeleteI'm less strung out when I'm the one sick so I know how tuckered you were taking care of two flu victims. Glad they are on the mend and you're feeling better, too, Lindy.
ReplyDeleteThat's fun about the group reads. Someday, I need to read the Kiss Quotient.
Looks like you had a great haul. Enjoy them!
Yikes! Sorry to hear about your daughter and husband. I hope they feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteHave fun with the buddy reads. That sounds fun!
Happy reading!
Oh swoon! Looks like you got some amazing books this past week. That Cassandra Clare novel has me swooning! I loved Downfall and loved how it tied into Jay's other books.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're feeling better and so sorry your daughter and husband got sick. Helping another person with a cold is definitely more tiring than having one sometimes. Hope everyone is feeling better!
