Book Synopsis:
Don't miss a beat with the fourth and final novel in the USA Today bestselling Stage Dive series from Kylie Scott.
Positive. With two little lines on a pregnancy test, everything in Lizzy Rollins' ordinary life is about to change forever. And all because of one big mistake in Vegas with Ben Nicholson, the irresistibly sexy bass player for Stage Dive. So what if Ben's the only man she's ever met who can make her feel completely safe, cherished, and out of control with desire at the same time? Lizzy knows the gorgeous rock star isn't looking for anything more permanent than a good time, no matter how much she wishes differently.
Ben knows Lizzy is off limits. Completely and utterly. She's his best friend's little sister now, and no matter how hot the chemistry is between them, no matter how sweet and sexy she is, he's not going to go there. But when Ben is forced to keep the one girl he's always had a weakness for out of trouble in Sin City, he quickly learns that what happens in Vegas, doesn't always stay there. Now he and Lizzie are connected in the deepest way possible... but will it lead to a connection of the heart?

My Thoughts:
Deep is the final full-length story in the Stage Dive Series. It is Anne's little sister, Lizzy Rollins and bass player, Ben Nicholson's story. The moment Lizzy saw Ben during the band's practice, she thought he was the sexiest man she'd ever seen, and when the two laid eyes on one another, the chemistry was instant, as was Lizzy's decision that she wanted him. It didn't matter that her older sister Anne and brother-in-law, Mal were dead set against it, she was determined. Ev slips Lizzy, Ben's number, and they start texting back and forth. Soon an easygoing friendship begins, but Ben is determined to stay away from Lizzy, because he promised Mal, and doesn't want to stir up drama in the group.
However, Lizzy and Ben can't get each other out of their minds. When the whole group goes to Las Vegas, the two end up sleeping together, but after Ben makes it clear to Lizzy that he thinks it was a mistake, and he doesn't want a relationship, Lizzy is devastated and decides it's time to move on. Six weeks later, Lizzy discovers that she is pregnant, she's keeping her baby, and life as she knows it will be forever changed.
I loved Lizzy. She was assertive, confident, and willing to go after what she wanted despite the many challenges and people opposed to her getting it. Lizzy was independent, outgoing, strong, and always analyzing everything due to her majoring in psychology. She was a spitfire, but she was also very sensitive. Ben wanted to be free to live his bachelor lifestyle, dedicate his whole life to his music, and he didn't want to be tied down to any one person or place. Despite all of that, he quickly realizes that Lizzy is special and means a lot to him. He was a stand-up guy who was trying to be responsible, do right by Lizzy, but couldn't help making mistakes along the way as he had never navigated a relationship before.
Deep was a really great story! I read it in one setting, and loved being reunited with all of my favorite leading men, and their awesome leading ladies! As with all the stage dive books before, there was a lot of chemistry, swooning, angst, romance, laughs and smiles in Lizzy and Ben's story!!!

I also loved this series Lindy. Have you tried any of her other ones? Great review!
ReplyDeleteI read one of her other books, but now that I've enjoyed this series so much, I want to read all of her other books for sure!
DeleteI have read a few of her books, some I liked and others not so much. However, I have heard good things about this series, so I think I will give this one a try. Great review.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nadene! Yeah, even with my favorite authors, there are books of their's that I enjoy more than others!
DeleteLizzy sounds great. Wow, all the books were winners for you. That is awesome.
ReplyDeleteYes, Lizzy was my favorite female lead! I loved the full length books in this series, but I didn't enjoy the novella as much.
DeleteWow, tough spot to be in for both of them. I like the way you describe Lizzy being a strong gal who didn't mess around. Sounds like she'll need that with Ben backing away and their friends and family not approving.
ReplyDeleteYes, I loved Lizzy’s strength!
DeleteLizzie sounds perfect! Awwwww I can totally see why you loved these so much ❤️ I love heroines I can root for.
ReplyDeleteLizzie is awesome just like Ann. This is one of my all time favorite series!
