This is my first time reading a book by author Jewel E. Ann. I have heard amazing things about her books and I was excited to read Transcend as my first book of hers. Transcend is the first book in the Transcend Duet. It ends in a major cliffhanger that left me gasping for air! I have so many questions and I know without a doubt that Epoch, which is the conclusion of the Transcend Duet, will have me at the edge of my seat from beginning to end!
I have to be honest and admit that I have never read anything like the story in Transcend. It's a breath of fresh air to my bookworm world and I was captivated from the very beginning. I read this book in one sitting because I simply could not put it down!!!
Swayze caught my attention and I was mesmerized by her. I wanted to know more about her abilities and I was holding on to every single word she exchanged with Nate. I felt like I was putting pieces of an intricate puzzle together during this reading journey. I know without a doubt that when I read the last page of Epoch, this intricate puzzle will once again steal my breath away. Swayze is one of the most unique characters that I have ever met.
Nate is a single dad that melted and broke my heart all at once. It broke me to learn about his past. His life has been filled with many difficult moments. I loved how fiercely he loves his daughter and how he opened up to Swayze. He was skeptical of her abilities at the beginning, but that soon changed when she revealed things that only somebody close to him would know.
I don't want to give anything away about the storyline because every reader needs to go in blind just like I did. The blurb is everything you need to start this reading journey that will captivate you from beginning to end. Swayze and Nate have an incredible connection. I'm very intrigued about this story and I can't wait to see what happens next! This was an amazing reading journey that I highly recommend! Jewel E. Ann wrote a story that will linger with your for days.
