I love discovering new authors. One of my goals each year is to read as many new authors as possible. I knew without a doubt that I wanted to read Michelle Brown's debut novel the moment I read the blurb. Add in the gorgeous, mysterious and sexy cover and I was sold! I have been craving a dark mafia romance and this author delivered! I devoured this book and it left me at the edge of my seat when I turned the last page. This is a quick read that will make you embark on an intense and dark reading journey.
Our heroine, Rosalina Maria, is not afraid to get her hands dirty. The naive eight-year-old girl became a fierce and passionate leader that takes matters into her own hands. She's all about business until Anthony De Los Santos comes along. He's sexy, confident, challenging and a rule breaker. The tension between them is palpable. Will the Mexican Mafia Princess rule with the Cuban Mafia Prince by her side or will the Princess decide to become a Queen on her own?
Rosalina is a strong and confident heroine and the way she rules her father's empire is mesmerizing. Don't mess with La Asesina Bonita ... She's lethal. The chemistry between Rosalina and Anthony was hot! Rosalina completely steals the spotlight in this book. I really hope the next installment has more chapters with Anthony's POV. I find him really fascinating and want to find out more about him. This was a great debut novel and I can't wait to see what happens next in this series.
