Irish charmer Kieran Doherty has been a fighter at Driscoll’s Gym for most of his life. He’s been content to let his best friend take the spotlight, now it’s his turn to make a name for himself in the world of heavy weight champions. Falling in love is the one thing he vowed never to do, but meeting Marie changed everything.

Excerpt:
When I finally plucked up a bit of courage, I peeped out of the curtains to see Kieran throwing stones at the window.
“Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair,” he mock shouted, when he caught my eye. I opened the window to whisper loudly back at him.
“Are you high?” I asked. “Why didn’t you just ring the doorbell or call me?”
“I thought this would be more romantic,” he said.
“If I ignore the fact that my nipples probably have frostbite, I am feeling romanced,” I replied. He looked pained. “What’s wrong?” I asked.
“You said ‘nipples’ and now I can’t think of anything else,” he replied, making me smile.
“Now I’m down here, what’s the chances of seeing an accidental nip slip?” he asked.
“Depends,” I replied.
“On what?” he asked.
“What’s in the bag?” I said.
“Hot chocolate and warm doughnuts,” he said, holding up the bag as if to barter.
“Well, I would have said slim to none, but fresh doughnuts might have just tipped the odds in your favour,” I replied.
“Yesss!” he said, fist bumping the air in victory.
I closed the window and ran to buzz him in. He bounded up the stairwell, his heavy footsteps echoing loudly in the hallway. When he got to my door, he looked me up and down, taking in my short royal blue, silk pyjamas. Dropping the sack, he speared his hands into my hair and pulled me into a kiss that had me melting. Kier didn’t kiss with just his lips; he did it with his whole body. Without shoes on, I was tiny in comparison, but inside of the cage of his huge arms, I felt protected and safe. Despite his size, his lips were so gentle. He didn’t treat me like I was fragile, but like I was precious, as though every touch was one that he was experiencing for the first time and memorizing for later.
Feeling bold, I traced the seam of his mouth with my tongue, and when he parted his lips and touched his tongue against mine, I groaned. Every sensation was too much, and not enough. Breathless, he pulled away from me to nuzzle his face in the crook of my neck. I reached up and gently stroked the short hair at the back of his neck, making him sigh.

Many readers have a place they call home in Book Town. Driscoll’s Gym is a place I call home. R.J. Prescott created a place where the characters are much more than just characters. They are a part of my life and it always brings a smile to my face to reunite with them. I have waited more than a year to reunite with this amazing crew and the author gave me a reunion that left me gasping for air! If you are not familiar with The Hurricane Series, you are seriously missing out!
R.J. Prescott did a phenomenal job with the first two installments. The Storm is such an amazing addition to this wonderful series. You don’t need to read the first two books to enjoy Marie and Kieran`s book. It can be read as a standalone, but I highly suggest that you don’t skip Emily and Cormac’s incredible love story. It’s such a beautiful and emotional reading journey.
The Storm was an unputdownable book and the only reason I actually put it down was to message the author. I needed to stop reading and let her know what this story was doing to me. Marie and Kieran’s love story captivated me from the very beginning. At the end of the Prologue, tears were making an appearance. Marie and Kieran both had obstacles to overcome through the years. The past has left Kieran's heart scarred and he’s not ready to embark on the train that will lead him to the road called LOVE. Getting attached to somebody is too dangerous and he’s trying to always keep his distance. Until Marie Kelly enters his life. He’s determined to break all his rules if it means keeping her by his side. At the Driscoll Gym, you fight for what you want. Kieran wants Marie and no matter the obstacle that will come their way, Kieran will do whatever it takes to win this ultimate fight that will bring him one step closer to a HEA with Marie.
It was very difficult for me to write this review. I can’t even put into words what this reading escape did to me. It was EVERYTHING!!!! I cried buckets of tears and felt every single moment of Marie and Kieran's love story. At one point of the story, I thought that my heart was going to burst! It was difficult to continue reading because I was crying so much. I don't want to give anything away because I want everybody to have an incredible reading journey just like I did.
Marie and Kieran are two phenomenal characters that will have you cheering for them from beginning to end! They have an incredible chemistry and each moment that they share together will give you all the feels! Kieran was such a fantastic hero. He took care of Marie like his life depended on it and his love for her was absolutely heart-melting! Marie was such a strong and confident heroine. She's a true warrior and I loved how she opened her heart to Kieran and gave him a first-class seat on the Love Train.
It was a pleasure to reunite with the rest of the cast of characters from this series. Like always, Danny was hilarious. No shenanigans allowed in his gym! lol!!! The supporting cast of characters in this series is out of this world!!! A supporting character in this series is getting his book next and I`m extremely excited to get my hands on his story. It will be EPIC!! I know it in my heart that R.J. Prescott will give him a story that we will never forget!
