The second installment of the White House Series, Commander in Chief, left me with a big smile on my face. Charlotte and Matt are two fascinating characters that I had the absolute pleasure of following and falling in love with. I’m a big fan of Katy Evans. Her writing style is always captivating and her characters unforgettable. This is without a doubt my favorite series from this author after the Real Series. Remy was my first book boyfriend so it will be very difficult for me to love any of Katy’s alphas the way I love Remy. Matt comes pretty close though. He’s swoony, romantic and intense!
Charlotte and Matt have tried to stay away from each other. With Matt becoming the forty-sixth president of the United States, Charlotte wants him to concentrate on his big journey. Matt only wants one thing. To have Charlotte by his side. He is determined to do whatever it takes to fight for their love. Will Charlotte let go of her fears and give their love a chance?
This was a great sequel to Mr. President, which is the first installment of the White House Series. You absolutely need to read Mr. President to follow Charlotte and Matt’s journey in Commander in Chief. I’m so proud of Charlotte. She grew so much on this journey. It was very difficult for her to let go and take a step forward with Matt. It was a big step for her to let go of her normal life and privacy. It was beautiful to see her fall even more in love with Matt. Their love is mesmerizing and their chemistry took my breath away!
Matt’s determination to have her by his side was heart-melting. Each and every day that passed, he made it clear that she was his one and only. The woman he wants by his side. The only woman who holds the key to his heart. I loved all the details that were included in this story. It was a fascinating journey and it exceeded all of my expectations. Katy Evans always delivers a romantic reading escape that will leave you wanting more! I highly recommend this series!
