Synopsis:

Time is running out. War will be waged. Sacrifices will be made.

Months ago, Nicole Cassidy’s life was turned upside-down when she discovered that she was a witch descended from the Greek gods. She and the four other witches gifted with elemental powers fought all over the world—and in another dimension—to battle the supporters of the Titans and fight for the people they love.

Now the Elementals must stop Typhon—the most dangerous monster in the world—from rising, and seal the portal to the dangerous prison world of Kerberos. But they won’t be able to do that without facing their hardest decision yet… a sacrifice so great that it may be one they’re not willing to make.

Get ready for the stunning, action-packed conclusion to the bestselling Elementals series, with twists and turns that you’ll never see coming!

My Thoughts:

The Elementals series has been such a fun and exciting adventure.  I love how fast-paced these stories are.  Reading them is effortless, and the perfect remedy when you need to escape into a light-hearted, and interesting read.  This last week has been a difficult week for me, and this story was the perfect gift to get my mind off of all that I've been going through.  When a book can get your mind off life's challenges, you know that it's a great story!

I was sad to say goodbye to the Elementals, but looking forward to seeing how everything would end.  In this last segment, The Hands of Time, primordial deity, Chronos has rewound time.  The Elementals have one week before the powerful titan, Typhon, rises and destroys the world.  They must be prepared to destroy him, and seal off the portal to Kerberos, a prison world that holds some of the most evil creatures.

As I traveled with the Elementals on their adventure, I felt like I was preparing for battle right beside them.  I was hopeful and in awe as they interacted with Ares, Aphrodite, Athena, Hades, and my very favorite of all, Persephone!  I felt like I was beside them as they conducted research in the New Alexandrian Library, negotiated help from Helios' solar dragons, traveled to the underworld, consulted with the oracle, and faced the toughest decision that they have ever had to make.

It was a great adventure!  I loved the ending, and even though sacrifices were made, Ms. Madow still left us with hope, despite a wonderfully bittersweet ending.  There was a little more romance in this final segment, which I was very grateful for.  It was in no one the central focus of the story, but complimented the rest of the plot beautifully.  It made me even more invested in Nicole and Blake getting their happily ever after.  If you enjoy Greek Mythology, and fast-paced young adult fantasy, the Elementals series is a great choice!

My Rating:

I give, The Hands of Time, by Michelle Madow, 4.5 Adventurous, Fun, Entertaining, and Magical Stars!!!
