Book Summary:
Four beautiful days. Three steamy nights. One breathtaking love.
Levi Michaelson. He caught me when I fell. Literally.
He wanted four dates. Four opportunities to prove I could trust him. Four chances to change my mind about him.
I agreed.
Probably not my smartest decision. He was everything I knew to avoid—gorgeous, charming, sexy as hell—but I couldn’t help myself. When he touched me the whole world disappeared. I should’ve known I could lose myself to him.
It’s true what they say—some things are too good to be true. And Levi Michaelson might just be one of them.

My Thoughts:
Ms. Leighton is a true artist. Only she uses words as her paintbrush, seamlessly delivering vivid imagery. Her words are beautiful. Poetic. I love when an author's prose are scintillating and make the characters, setting, and plot come to life. Ms. Leighton did that and so much more when she crafted characters, Evian "Evie" de Champlain and Levi Michaelson. In Levi's Blue we get to meet two very broken and yet resilient characters. I know that might seem like a contradiction, but if you read, Levi's Blue, you'll see what I mean.
Typically in a romance novel, the focus is on the male lead. Usually, I can take or leave the female lead. However, in Levi's Blue, Evie stood out to me. She was so tenacious, resilient, inspiring, quick, witty, fun, and intelligent. I could see her being my best friend. That's how much I loved Evie's character. She was so well-developed, that she came to life right before my very eyes.
Levi gave me the swoons. He brought romance. He inspired. Levi was a gentleman. He was sexy, compassionate, loving, patient, and generous. Most of all, he knew how to make Evie feel wanted, loved, and cared for as if she was the ultimate gift.
Ms. Leighton created some of the most authentic, memorable, and loved main characters that I have ever had the pleasure of reading. Levi's Blue gave me the feels. I can't possibly do justice to how meaningful and brilliant this story was. It was so much more than the book summary alluded to.
There are certain aspects of the story that I want to talk about so badly, but I don't want to give away any spoilers. So suffice to say that Evie will surprise you. She is so much more than I expected, and a very rare female lead when it comes to the typical romance novel. She impressed me, and made me see life and everything around me in a whole new way. She inspired me to "make my lemons in to lemonade."
My Rating:
Fans of Colleen Hoover, will love Levi's Blue. It was a deep and meaningful romance, with intrigue, and many life lessons. This book was full of substance, and not a light and fluffy read by any means. I give, Levi's Blue, by M. Leighton, 5 Beautiful, Witty, Spellbinding, and Romantic Stars. This is a story that I highly recommend, and one of my favorite reads of 2016.
About M. Leighton:
New York Times, USA Today and Wall Street Journal Bestselling Author, M. Leighton lives in the deep South with her super-hero husband and super-smart maltipoo. She has a fondness for coffee and chocolate, loves the color red, laughs at almost anything and often stares out her window, daydreaming of far-away places.
