Review:

Small town country girl meets sexy rockstar?!?! Sign me up! I was really excited when I got the chance to read Brooklyn Rockstar. Jennifer Ann is a new to me author. I have never read anything by her before this book so I was really looking forward to it. I have read a few series that have rockstars in them and I absolutely loved them. I could not wait to dive in and meet Evelyn and Charlie. Their story was passionate and intense.

Evelyn Kandall is a small town country girl that is ready to spread her wings. She chooses Brooklyn Heights as her destination and with the help of her friend, Sharlo, she embarks on an exciting journey that will make her discover what city life is all about. What she never expected on this journey was to come face-to-face with a rock god. Charlie Walker is a rockstar with secrets. In a world that follows his every move, he's trying to build his way back to the top. When he meets Evelyn, he wants to become a different man. She makes him want things he never though he would dream of. Evelyn and Charlie fall fast for each other, but will Charlie's lifestyle catch up and tear them apart? 

I really liked Evelyn and Charlie together. They had an explosive chemistry and their banter was great. I really loved to see them grow not only as a couple, but as individuals as well. Charlie is the one that surprised me the most. He did a complete personal transformation since he met Evelyn. He has found his love for music again and she makes him want to be a better man. He wants to become a role model for the people around him. With Evelyn by his side everything seems possible. 

Evelyn was a sweet heroine that I loved from the beginning. She's a small town country girl going after her dreams. She was easy to relate to and I loved her friendship with Sharlo. It was not easy for her to be with Charlie. The paparazzi and fans made it difficult for her to adapt to his lifestyle. Evelyn and Charlie had a journey filled by ups and downs that tested their relationship. It was a learning journey for both of them.

I really liked this story and I can't wait for the next one in this series. We got a little taste of Sharlo and James' chemistry and let me tell you that these two are insanely addictive!! Brooklyn Rockstar was an enjoyable reading journey. I would have liked to see a slow building romance between Evelyn and Charlie. Things happened quickly between them, which made me miss the butterfly effect in my stomach that I usually get when reading a slow building romance. Nonetheless, Evelyn and Charlie's story put a smile on my face and I really recommend it if you are looking for your next rockstar romance fix!
