Synopsis:
She wanted a one-night stand…and then he moved in next door.
Paige Bennett is more than content with her life and what she does—and does not—have in it. She’s got a supportive family, a great apartment, and the best friend a girl could ask for; so what if her relationships expire faster than a carton of milk? After a disastrous detour courtesy of poor judgment in the boyfriend department, her plan is back on track and her dream job is finally within her grasp. Nothing can make her lose focus now. Well, nothing except the one-night stand she had with her best friend’s surrogate brother. The one-night stand she can’t stop thinking about.
Adam Reid has always been reliable…the responsible son, the loyal friend, the steady boyfriend. Two years ago, he graduated Magna Cum Laude and is well on his way to making a name for himself at an accounting firm in Denver—a far cry from working as a helper in the Mom and Pop store his parents own in Michigan. But when said store starts failing, he’s the only one who can step in and help. So reliable Adam does what he always does, and he comes to the rescue.
Paige thought Adam was a safe bet because he lives halfway across the country. But then suddenly he’s moving back to their town, and then into her apartment building, and soon he’s worming his way right into her life. If she’s not careful, he might sneak his way into her heart, too…

Reluctant Hearts Series on Goodreads:
Review:
This week I had a blind date with a book. I am really stepping out of my comfort zone. I always read the synopsis of every single book that I read so I was a bit scared about this new reading experience. I'm so happy to say that I enjoyed every single moment of my reading journey. Paige in Progress, by Brighton Walsh, is the third installment of her Reluctant Hearts Series. It was my first time reading anything from this author so I really did not know what to expect. Even if this book is the third one in a series it can be read as a standalone.
I really enjoyed this book. Paige and Adam were great characters to follow. A one-night stand was all it took for these two fascinating characters to get under each other's skin. Adam left for Colorado to start a new journey far from Michigan. When he learns that the family business is not doing well he packs his bags and returns to Michigan. His patience is being tested when he moves back home and under the same roof as his parents. He decides to move out until he can put the family business back on track. Temporarily moving back to Michigan also means that he's going to run in Paige Bennett. He might have had only one night with her, but she's been occupying every single one of his fantasies. When they meet again it's electrifying. Adam is not a one-night stand kind of guy, but to get another chance to touch, kiss, and share a moment with Paige he's about to break his own rules.
The characters in this story were fun, addictive and memorable. Even though I did not read the first two installments of this series, I feel like I already know the secondary characters. The author did a phenomenal job at creating a special bond between all of them. I am definitely going to add the first two books to my TBR list. I want to fall in love with the two other couples just like I did for Paige and Adam.
Paige and Adam's chemistry is undeniable and strong. Prepare for many steamy moments because Adam Reid is one fine dirty talker! *Fans Self* I loved to watch Paige and Adam's relationship become something more. Paige does not want anything to do with a relationship because of what happened to her in the past. She was in a safe zone with Adam because she knew that he was eventually going back to Colorado. What she never expected was for him to come back into her life and steal her heart. This Paige girl is one tough cookie!!! It was interesting to see them fall for each other. They are so different, but yet so perfect for each other. This was a great reading journey that not only made me discover a new author, but also made me fall in love with a new cast of characters.
Rating:
I give, Paige in Progress, by Brighton Walsh, 4 steamy, fun, unexpected, delightful, give love a chance stars!
About the Author:
Brighton Walsh spent nearly a decade as a professional photographer before deciding to take her storytelling in a different direction and reconnect with her first love: writing. When she’s not pounding away at the keyboard, she’s probably either reading or shopping—maybe even both at once. She lives in the Midwest with her husband and two children, and, yes, she considers forty degrees to be hoodie weather. Her home is the setting for frequent dance parties, Lego battles, and more laughter than she thought possible.
Reading this now. I have loved all the books in this series. So good.
