Synopsis:
Experience the epic love story of OBSIDIAN as told by its hero, Daemon Black…
I knew the moment Katy Swartz moved in next door, there was going to be trouble. Lots of it.
And trouble’s the last thing I need, since I’m not exactly from around here. My people arrived on Earth from Lux, a planet thirteen billion light years away. Plus, if there’s one thing I know, it’s that humans can’t be trusted. We scare them. We can do things they only dream about, and honestly, we make them look weak as hell. ‘Cuz they are.
But Kat is getting to me in ways no one else has, and I can't stop myself from wanting her—or wanting to use my powers to protect her. She makes me weak, and I’m the strongest of our kind, tasked with protecting us all. So this one simple girl…she can mean the end for us. Because the Luxen have an even bigger enemy—the Arum, and I need to stay on my game.
Falling for Katy—a human—won't just place her in danger. It could get us all killed, and that’s one thing I’ll never let happen...

If you were human, what would you choose to be or do for a career? ~A kept man.
If you could change into anything, what would it be?

My Rating:
Oh Sweet Heaven! I'm glad to have Daemon Black back in my hands! Oblivion is a treasure for all of us Lux fans. I cannot possibly express the thrill and joy in my heart, as I got to relive the story of Obsidian from one of my all time favorite fictional characters!
My love for Daemon Black was rekindled, as I got to see his struggle to stay away from Katy through his perspective. This arrogant, lovable, loyal, courageous, snarky male, made me feel as if I was a part of the story. I loved being privy to his inner dialogue, the scenes that Katy was not involved in from Obsidian, as well as getting to know more about the Thompsons.
I'm glad that Ms. Armentrout touched on all of the most important scenes from the previous book, but gave us whipped cream and a cherry on the top, with plenty of extras!
Oblivion was all Daemon! We get to know him on a deeper level, and learn more about his motivations, fears, and desires. I loved watching him thrive on getting Katy all riled up. It was a turn on for him, and he was a master at pushing her buttons. I loved how hard he fought to not care about her. Yet, you could see the the regret and pain he felt whenever he went too far in upsetting Katy. As the reader, it was such a privilege to see Daemon falling for Katy before he even realized it. These two are the ultimate couple, and my version of the perfect paranormal fairytale romance.
Oblivion was romantic, swoon-worthy, addictive, and exhilarating! Lux fans, you do not want to miss out on Daemon Black's perspective. You will fall harder and deeper for him, as he shows us his vulnerability, love, and loyalty for those he cares about!
My Rating:
I give, Oblivion, by Jennifer L. Armentrout, 5 I'm in Love, Swoon Time, I can't get enough, filled stars! Daemon, can I be your kitten?

Oh Lindy, you have me practically salivating for this book. Great review and love the little mini character interview.
