Until Fate steps in.
She's not that person anymore.

So when fate pairs her up with the gorgeous but intense Air Force pilot she's ready to stand her ground. Cutting all ties with her ex is no sacrifice for Olivia. It's why she willingly complies with Lorenzo's uncompromising stipulation.
As their relationship intensifies so do Lorenzo's suspicions about any man in her life. Determined to not be that weak girl anymore, Olivia demands to be trusted. Despite how vehement her new boyfriend can be, her diligence seems to be working.
But when an unforeseen crisis arises Olivia is forced to make a decision. A decision she knows in Lorenzo's jaded and suspicious mind could be unforgivable.

Walking smack into a wall jolted her instantly out of her thoughts. The moment she realized the solid wall was actually a man’s chest was mortifying enough, but when her eyes met Lorenzo’s uncompromising expression, her legs went weak.
“I’m sorry,” she said, feeling her face go hot, and pulled her hand away from his chest where it’d flown in reflex.
She was caught in his intense eyes as she had been earlier. Like she had been so many times the night she met him. But it was only momentarily.
“Don’t be,” he said, glancing away quickly, and if she weren’t mistaken, he seemed a bit panicked. Maybe his wife or fiancée was here. “I wasn’t paying attention either.”
They stood there in heavy silence for a few awkward seconds until she finally smiled and shrugged. “Small world, huh?”
The miniscule nod said he agreed, but his vacant expression now bordered on hard. His eyes lowered, and she gulped when she realized he was staring at her lips. He licked his lips as the memory of his kisses inundated her.Is that what he was thinking of too? She stared at his lips as she felt his face lean in a little closer to hers and froze when she could actually feel his warm breath so close to her lips. Just when she’d been certain he was going to kiss her, he froze too and their eyes met again. “Too small maybe.”
Ouch.
“I can assure you,” he went on as he pulled back suddenly, “if I’d known you’d be here . . .” He glanced away with a frown without finishing then tipped the edge of his hat with a painfully forced smile. “My apologies for running into you,” he said tersely. “Have a good day.”
Lindy's Thoughts:
I have a special place in my heart for these sexy Moreno Men! I have been highly anticipating and wishing for Lorenzo's story, ever since I got the pleasure of learning so much about him in his older brother, Vincent Moreno's story, Fate. As my co-blogger, Mikki, would say, Lorenzo "Enzo" was "Muy Caliente!!!" This alpha male can give a woman a scalding hot temperature, and have her begging for more!!! Whew! Enzo was engaged and then burned by a woman he loved, and trusted. Unfortunately, this became a catalyst for changing his monogamous ways. He went from wanting to have a serious and meaningful relationship to solely having one night stands to fulfill his physical needs. His life changes when he meets the beautiful and sexy Olivia Romero. They have a memorable and epic one night stand, but Enzo is quick to leave, because he is not ready for a relationship.
Then, fate steps in and pretty soon Enzo is seeing Olivia everywhere. He cannot deny his intense attraction or desire for her any longer, and she wants him just as much as he wants her. Therefore, they agree to begin an exclusive relationship with one another, on the condition that Olivia agrees to stay away from her ex-boyfriend. However, Olivia get's forced to make a difficult decision due to a precarious situation out of her control.
Suspicious Minds had an excellent cast of characters. I loved getting reunited with Vincent, Rose, Enzo, Romero, and all of the Moreno's. I also enjoyed meeting Olivia, and her siblings, Emilia "Emi", Isaiah, Nathan, and R.J. I would love to see each of them get their own story at some point. The romance and chemistry between Enzo and Olivia was sweet, as well as sizzling hot! Suspicious Minds was a real page-turner, and the suspense made the plot that much more exciting and addicting.

Ro's Take on this Journey:
All I have to say is WOW!!! If you readers have been anticipating the next book in the Fate Series, like all of us gals at A Bookish Escape, believe me when I say, "You are in for a ride you will never forget!"
The Queen of Romance never disappoints!!! Lorenzo, (Enzo) is very much like his older brother, Vincent, in the Hot, Hot, Hot, Six Pack, Sexual intensity department. These brothers were made from the same mold!
Lorenzo is engaged to who he thinks is the love of his life. She does the unspeakable. This sends Lorenzo into a tail spin that breaks him to the core. He changes so drastically. He was loving, attentive, invested in her and her child, and lost them both at the same time. It was a bitter pill to swallow for him. He cut all ties, and began the manwhore lifestyle.
Olivia had a deranged, control freak, older boyfriend, that taught her everything she knows about sex, even when she was jailbait. He introduced her in to a life far from what her older brothers ever expected her to be a part of. By the time Olivia wises up and leaves town, she finds out that her best and only friend has been lying to her, and is having a relationship with her now ex.
This book takes you into a suspenseful saga filled with intrigue, twists, turns, crazy situations, ego driven men, killers, lovers, family, fun, cheaters, control freaks, desperation, hot sex, and a relationship that will be etched in your minds for a very long time.
When they start out, Lorenzo and Olivia are out to get their troubles off of their minds. When fate steps in, they end up at the same bar for what is suppose to be a one night stand in each of their minds. This ends up to be far more than either bargained for.
The electricity is palpable between these two sexual beings, and what the reader gets is a combination of the most combustible dynamite you can ever imagine! Whew...call in the fire engines, cause this book almost set fire by itself!!! I couldn't turn the pages fast enough...
Elizabeth Reyes has outdone herself! I am an avid reader of Ms. Reyes, and each time I pick up one of her pieces of art, I know its's going to be a slow ride on a fast horse!
Give us more Eli...I can't wait!!!
My Rating:
I give, Suspicious Minds, by Elizabeth Reyes, 5, Mind Boggling Electrifying, Energy Surging, One Of A Kind, Panty Dropping, Sizzling Hot Stars!!!
Mikki's Review:
You know those feelings that you get when the book you have been waiting to read for months arrives on your reading device? You're ecstatic because it made your day and you are nervous because you don't know what to expect or if it will live up to your expectations. I often mention that when I read a book I don't want to just read the story, I want to feel it as well. I want my heart to race at the first encounter, I want to feel butterflies in my stomach every time the characters are in the same room, I will cry with these characters when they feel broken, and I want to be next to them to support them in their difficult times. Olivia and Enzo's love story completely mesmerized me from beginning to end!
For those of you who have read The Moreno Brothers and Fate Series, you will be reunited with familiar faces in this book. If you have not read these awesome series, I suggest you add them to your TBR list ASAP! They are fun, romantic, unputtabledown and beautifully written. Elizabeth Reyes is one of my favorite authors. She can write the menu of The Moreno restaurant and I'll read it! LOL!!! :)
In this installment of the Fate Series we follow Olivia Romero and Lorenzo Moreno's passionate and intense love story. From their first encounter the chemistry between them is undeniable. After an explosive one night stand, Olivia and Enzo go their separate ways with no intention of ever seeing each other again. Fate has other plans. When their path's cross again, neither of them can deny the attraction that they feel towards each other. As days go by, those feelings keep on growing. They both decide to give their relationship a chance. Enzo is honest with what he's looking for. He's been burned in the past and does not want to be taken for a fool again. Olivia assures him that nobody will come between them, but when her past comes knocking on the door, will she keep her promise to Enzo or will she risk it all?
Words can't describe how much I loved Suspicious Minds! Like I mentioned before I had high expectations for this book. I have been waiting for Enzo's story since the moment I knew he was getting his own book. This book kept me up until early morning. After I closed my reading device, I had the biggest smile on my face and the worst book hangover! Suspicious Minds is filled with heart-melting moments, intense ones, and twist and turns that you will never see coming! I absolutely loved Olivia and Enzo! Their chemistry was super hot! Who knew that Enzo Moreno was such a dirty talker?? *Fans Self* I don't want to give anything else away about this story because you just have to feel every single emotions that this book will make you live!
It felt amazing to reunite with the Moreno's and the Romero's. The addition of Olivia and her siblings to this story was absolutely perfect! I connected with each of them, and I really hope that they are all going to get their own book. I'm especially rooting for Emilia, which is Olivia's younger sister, to get her own book. I specifically remember one scene that completely made me SQUEEEEEEE!!!! I was like WHAT?!?!?! Back-up!!! What did I just read????? Oh my God! Do I want this to be true?!?! Yes! Yes! I'm crossing my fingers that it will happen. I know that this is making no sense at the moment, but you will know exactly what I am talking about once you get to that scene ;)
