Desperation is Not a Choice its a Conviction
WOW!! The Fantasy really blew the roof off the desperation house! Evan is… well, in one word… beast. Ouch there where so many times that I wanted to slap him for his actions yet my heart went out to him because of his struggles. This short read by Ms. Frank and Ms. Blaine was the perfect little intro to what I hope is to become a fave series of mine. With Frank behind the helm I’m not too worried. I will say Evan has a long way to go before he makes it to my loves list. We find out about his past but there is still much to figure out.
Evan was given another chance at what he was born to do. All he has to do is keep his hands off his boss. Never mind the fact that he has already had her and cant manage to get her out of his head. This is a steamy story about a man who is crazed by the deprived demons that haunt him and the willingness to overcome the darkness threatening to consume him. Staying away from Reagan is paramount to his second chance but she is there at every turn. The chemistry they share is almost taunting. Evan cannot focus every waking moment is spent on her and the things she has done to him and will continue to do.
Evan is an incredibly complex character with much self discovery and growth to achieve but I admire his willingness to correct the mistakes of his past. The ending isn’t super cliffy but its cliffy enough to where I’m dying to find out what happens next. His past is still a bit of a mystery but I’m sure all will be revealed soon enough. I really enjoyed this read. I want to find out more about these characters and the things that tied them together. Frank and Blaine have tied enough sex and steam to make this read highly addictive and I’m 100% on board to find out where this story will lead them. When does the next installment come out cause I’me dying to find out more. What will Evan do to control his desires and what will his boss do to keep him strung along?!
