Summary

That’s what twenty-year old Tori discovers when she moves in with her best friend, Liv for the summer. Liv’s older brother Brady is everything Tori knows is wrong for her, yet he invokes emotions deep in her soul that she’s never felt with anyone else. When the two eventually succumb to their feelings, Tori realizes Brady is not the same confident guy she’s secretly loved for years. Turning to the one person that always makes her laugh, she begins spending time with the younger brother, Tug. The two grow closer and Tori wonders if her feelings for Tug run deeper than the “just buddies” status they’ve always shared. Okay So I remember saying that I was excited to have read TUG first before jumping into the first two books of a different series involving all of these same main characters…Boy was I WRONG!!! If you can help it start with Irreparably Broken because let me tell you…It was hard for me to keep all of my feels out of the content in this book. As a reviewer I like to be open minded and unbiased. Well SH*& that sort of went out the window. I fell in love love love with Aidan Hunter in TUG and keeping out what he goes through in that book was incredibly hard to do. I had to constantly remind myself “those things haven’t happened yet Ria, calm yourself” but GAH!!!!!
Ms. Bell has a talent for the written word her ability to pull you in to her books is uncanny. She makes brewing a cup of coffee the most interesting thing you’ve ever read and if you expect plain ol’ Java? Well, with her and Tug behind the scenes… there may be some bourbon in it if you know what I mean. *wink wink.
All of that aside this was a great read even though I knew what was coming at the end it didn’t deter me from enjoying all of the shocking angst filled moments page by page. One thing is for certain I love TUG, this guy has my heart. I’m looking forward to the next book in this series cause Ms. Bell’s writing is that good.
I-mbedded, Tori has been friends with Liv since before she could walk so when her parents move to Minnesota she is more than welcome into the Hunter home.
R-esolve, Brady knows coming home for the summer is a bad idea but he made a promise he cannot break. Regardless of the outcome he will face his current tormentor.
R-emorse, Brady never meant to hurt Tori because she has always had his heart. Unfortunately, when it comes to Brady pain and loss is usually inevitable.
E-xplosion, running into Brady was the last thing Tori thought possible but he is back home and soon things will escalate.
P-ast, Tori has blamed Brady for her heart ache but her love for him will shine through and heal some of the heart ache.
A-ccusations, wanting to move on with her life Tori will give Harrison a chance but the history he shares with Brady will soon tarnish her attempt.
R-ealization, staying away and doing what is best for Tori is impossible once Brady confesses his feelings the truth of their passionate love will come out.
A-ppearance, no one knows Brady the way Tori does she see’s past his guilt and demons and sees the man she will love forever.
B-etrayal, knowing he has to keep secrets is too much for Brady to handle but soon Harrison will expose what has been hidden.
L-ies, after being exposed Brady cannot cope with his anguish the only thing he can think to do is run.
Y-esterday, Tori cannot change the past but she will try to convince Brady he is not worthless. Knowing where the road dead ends doesn’t stop Tori from giving him a piece of her soul even though she knows he is saying goodbye.
B-anishment, being away from Tori and almost betraying her in the arms of another woman is not something he can do.
R-esentment, moving on from her ex was difficult cutting Harrison away was easy but breathing without Brady is impossible. Tug will step in and help Tori but in the process things will become more complicated than before.
O-bstacles, Tug knows who has Tori’s heart but he cannot continue to see the woman he has fallen in love with hurt this way.
K-indness, after weeks of despair Tori will smile again thanks to Tug she will have to listen to her heart to make the final decision.
E-nlightening, opening up to Tori has really helped Brady his first step towards vanquishing the guilt will include him confronting everyone involved.
N-ightmare, Tori unknowingly over hears something that will change everyone’s life forever. Throwing a rock at the Hunter’s perfect glass house will make it crumble and nothing will ever be the same.
Talk about boom goes the cannon!
That ending was intense to say the least! It’s what I’ve come to expect from Ms Bell just when you think you know…BAM it’s something crazy different! I enjoyed this book a great deal and will be following the series but since my alliances have been formed with Tug & Maria it pains me to see him pining after Tori. Spoiler alert! K, not really Tori loves Brady and belongs with him so it was nice to see the budding romance take root. Liv? Gah can this girl be anymore kick boots? No.Way. Not with or without green eggs and ham sam I am! I absolutely loved her in TUG and fell more in love with her in Irreparably Broken. This is one that STILL surprised me even though I knew what was coming. Pretty awesome right? Does that make sense? Regardless it was a treat to see Tug pre-Tori meltdown. I wish she had never messed with his head but I guess it was inevitable. Can’t wait to see what’s next even though I already know I’m looking forward to reading through the moments with these great characters.

Eeeeeeeep! He is so carefree and funny and amazing and understanding and knowledgeable…I’m through the moon about him getting his own book and being able to go back and see him before. It was a treat to see the events that took shape around him and his family. Even though this book was centered around Tori and Brady, Tug’s personality shines through the pages.

WHAT?!!! Brady? What? OMG so we know about that in Tug but I didn’t know it was actually in Irreparably Broken too! Plus we get the play by play? Holy Canoli!! Awesome- Sauce-Saucy- Sauciness!! Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeep! I love the piss out of this girl I just hope she and TUG find a way…I really want them to find a way.
My Wish
I’m looking forward to falling in love with Brady some more cause I’ve heard great things about him for 2 books now ( yes he has done great things for people), I just hope I get to see him love Tori the way he professes. Ja feel?
