Summary
She’s his boss. He doesn’t care. This office isn’t big enough for the two of them…
When Rory Clarke ends up hiring the guy she spent one steamy night with to be her administrative assistant, she's determined to keep things professional.
Lucas Blaine has other plans for her. He wants Rory, and it’s hard to resist his stunning blue eyes, chin dimple and the way he fills out a suit. Everywhere she looks, there he is, giving her a panty-melting smile and pulling her away for the most amazing (and satisfying) sex she’s ever had in her life.
What starts off as one sexual encounter turns into multiple trysts in and out of the office and the lines she’d tried to draw so carefully are blurring. But the closer they get, the more Rory realizes that there are things about Lucas she doesn’t know, things he’s hiding from her. She’ll have to decide if she can surrender to her feelings or get out while she still can.
The Way I See It
OMG that was the sweetest read ever! Congrats go out to Ms. Cameron Sweet Surrendering was delightful, fun, and carefree! The author did an amazing job of keeping the reader in the dark till every thing that needed to come out did. I kept trying to figure things out but kept coming out blank. I hope to see a second story in this series, I hope this becomes a series. Cameron held nothing back in making me want more. I fell in love with all of the characters instantly and I hope to see more from them.
S-urreal, Rory has always wanted to take over the company for her dad some day. People have been against her but she will do what it takes to prove her worth.
W-ork, Rory has to find a new assistant but people keep her at arms length and she cannot seem to find the right candidate.
E-ars, the board has heard many good things about a certain applicant it seems that Rory can’t escape the pushy yet sexy guy who presented himself to her just a few days ago.
E-vening, going out with her friends is something Rory truly enjoys but when a sexy stranger(she has met before) crashes in on her evening all Rory can do is give in to her desires.
T-ryst, the attraction Rory feels for Lucas is uncanny and she is putty in his hands. Every logical thought says don’t do it, but Rory cannot control what Lucas does to her.
S-exy, casual interactions must be all that Rory and Lucas share, but it is so hard Rory is left blind trying to understand her feelings.
U-nknown, Rory’s Parents are focused on a certain love interest, but Rory remembers her childhood friend and she knows there is not a single ounce of attraction.
R-esolved, Lucas meets Rory at “the bar” he will sing and make her question all of her decisions.
R-eluctant, Rory has fought her feelings for too long the time has come for to take the plunge.
E-ventual, the union that has taken place between Rory and Lucas is something that those closest to them have expected for a long time.
N-ightmares, always in control Rory is trying to be supportive of Lucah’s wishes but its so hard all of his close guarded secrets are breaking her one day at a time.
D-istractions, Rory and Lucah have an agreement. They spend countless moments of happiness together.
E-ntrusted, Rory’s friends are the foundation of her happiness. Everyone wants her to be happy but she is afraid of the plunge.
R-esentment, when confronted by Lucah’s past Rory doesn’t know if she can trust him again.
I-mmeasurable, no amount of apologies can take away the pain Rory feels. Lucah never thought this would happen but with matters of the heart there is no controlling the inevitable.
N-ews, the shock that barrels through the office will affect everyone. Lucah has broken free of his ties and secrets, nothing can keep him from pursuing and loving Rory with all of his heart.
G-alla, everything has come together and Rory could not have asked for a better outcome. Through plenty of pain the love that fills her heart makes everything worth while.
Sweet, sweet, sweet, Cameron has a way of telling an awesome romantic and fun love story. I’ve enjoyed reading a few of her books, her writing is fun light and engaging. Cameron’s characters jump off the pages and have lives of their own. Several times I’ve made comparisons to her characters and my actual friends. I will continue to follow this author as she has proven her talent to me. Sweet Surrender certainly was sweet and I completely surrendered!
