Summary
London and her friends are fugitives in a reprocessed world where anything New is illegal. But as Otherborn, they’re different. They can dream and create, which hasn’t gone unnoticed. After fleeing Capital City with an assassin on their heels, the Otherborn found nothing went according to plan. Now, they are down by two and on the run in the Outroads, but the Tycoons keep mysteriously gaining on them. And seven months later, London is no closer to her promise to go back for Rye, if there is anything left to go back for. But Zen is teaching London that there may be more to her heart than the pieces she left behind, and London can’t help but feel guilty about not looking back since they fled New Eden. Should she hold on to hope that Rye is more than just a memory, or embrace a new life and love with Zen?
In their race to outrun their enemies, one thing is becoming increasingly clear: they can only run for so long. Eventually, they’ll have to face what waits when the road runs out. Eventually, their fates will catch up to them.

The Way I See It
OH MY GAWD!!!! Astral Tide totally kicks tail! I LOVED IT!! This is the continuation of Otherborn by Anna Silver and she brought her a game to this party thats for sure! The world building was phenomenal and seamless I was thrown into the mystical aspects of this world and I could not get enough. There wasn’t much back story but it wasn’t necessary even though we pick up 7 months after that fateful night when London lost Rye. Yep talk about intense! We find out who’s loyalties lie with who. A great and unimaginable betrayal has set everyone back. All the while London just wants to get to Rye and save him.
S-trained, being in the Astral outside of the grove London will train and learn all that she can.
T-raitor, the group knows why it has been so easy to find them now Zen will come face to face with the hard truth.
R-ealizing, there has been a change in the air Zen and London have begun to share feelings that go beyond friendship.
A-stral, for some reason London is the strongest and she is the key to finding a way of bringing down the Tycoons.
L-iar, Rye has had to do many things to keep himself safe but no one knows what is truly in his heart.
T-rust, encountering another Otherborn is just what London and her companions needed now they must bring him into the circle.
I-ndecision, London has had her heart torn to shreds even though Rye told her the truth she is faced with betrayal and it will cost her dearly.
D-reams, are not a disease in fact people are starting to become immune even though Avery has big plans for something terrible its up to these young Otherborn to stop her.
E-scape, finding Elias gives London solace but it seems together they can do something otherwise unimaginable.
WARNING CLIFFHANGER!!! I’m not super angry though cause I’m hopeful. The character development was awesome London is done falling all over the place she has embraced her destiny and will do what it takes to make things right and confront her enemy. I can’t wait for the showdown! Ms Silver has taken an amazing world and made it MORE!! I know there is more to come and I can’t find out exactly whats next. The level of mystery was still there but it seemed effortless I’m looking forward to whats next for a fun dystopian meets fantasy pick up this series!
