I went to the Ontario Teen Book Fest with my mom, husband, and daughter, on my Birthday, May 17th, and had an amazing time! I was so excited to meet so many great YA authors!  I sat in on a panel where I got to see Jessica Brody, Catherine Linka, Lissa Price, and Lauren Miller speak about their books and the Dystopian Genre.  It was so fascinating, and these ladies are so intelligent, fun, and friendly.  I met a ton of authors, and needless to say, left with 3 bags of signed books.  My husband couldn't get mad at me though, because I told him that he needed to give me a free pass for my birthday.  Here are all of the books I got signed, and authors I met (except Lauren Kate).

Purchased at Teen Book Fest:

Right after the Teen Book Fest, we went to the local Barnes and Noble, and then went home.  As I opened the door, I heard "surprise!"  My closest family members and friends were there to give me a surprise party.  I had been telling my family that I wanted to go on a mini-vactation to San Francisco so they threw me a 35th Birthday Party with San Francisco as the theme!  There was a Fisherman's Wharf Station, China Town, Little Italy, and Alcatraz!  Each station had foods that went with the theme.  My favorite was Fisherman's Wharf, which had Sushi, Shrimp, Salmon Dip, and all kinds of Seafood.  My sis had Sangria with a big sign on it that said "SanFrangria" on it, and posters of San Francisco, The Golden Gate Bridge, and all of the Stations on it.  Alcatraz had jail bird t-shirt cookies and a candy bar in red and gold.  She also made Jello shots and my favorite, Pineapple and Malibu Rum!  It was the best birthday I've ever had!  My gifts included a ton of Giftcards to Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and iTunes!  My family and friends know how much I love books!!!!  I can't wait to do more book shopping!!!!
