My Review:
Until We Touch is book #15 in the Fool's Gold series. I read my first Susan Mallery book just a few months ago. When I finished reading When We Met, I was really excited that I finally got the chance to visit Fool's Gold. I had heard many good things about this series and I absolutely loved my reading escape!
Larissa is Jack's assistant and good friend. They have a solid friendship and even if Larissa's pet rescue missions drives him nuts, he can't help but admire all that she does for him and their friends. Larissa has strong feelings for Jack. She knows that falling for him would only mean trouble. Jack stays far away from commitment and he likes it that way. That is until Larissa's mom comes to town and shares some unexpected news. Everything is about to change.

Once again, Susan Mallery has written a beautiful and passionate love story that will leave you with a smile. Larissa and Jack are two great characters that I loved reading about. I love friends to lovers romance book. No matter how many I read, I always want more! Larissa and Jack's friendship was strong and sincere. What I liked the most about this story is that it was a slow-building romance. Nothing was rushed and I could see their relationship change as the days went by. Larissa and Jack had great chemistry. Once they crossed that friends/lovers line there was no going back! I really liked how Larissa took matters into her own hands and went after her man! Talking about her man ... Jack got me soooooo mad!!!! My heart literally broke in the last chapters. His behavior left me completely speechless! I know that his past his painful and that it made him put up some walls, but his behavior was just heartbreaking! Towards the end of the book I had no clue how he was going to fix things. This book does have a HEA and he absolutely redeemed himself in the most beautiful way in the end :)
Every Fool's Gold book is filled with amazing characters from previous books. What I like about this series is that every book could be read as a standalone. It does not leave you confused if you have not read the previous books. Taryn and Angel were the first couple that I read about and I was excited to see them again in this installment. Larissa, Jack, Taryn, Sam and Kenny all work together and have developed a strong bond. I really loved how everybody got involved with Percy's education and how they welcomed him with open arms. He was a really nice addition to the cast of characters. Even if I did not read Dellina and Sam's book yet (Before We Kiss), which is book #14, I did not get any major spoilers about their story and I will definitely be reading it in the near future. All these characters are charming and reading about them makes me want to pick up all the previous books in this series. I cannot wait for Kenny and Bailey's book. It's going to be AMAZING!!!!

I want to read this series really bad. 15 book in is a little discouraging, but hey, that just means I can read them when I want. Every time I see a new one of these I get excited and want to read that specific one right that moment, including this one. I just need to start them already.
ReplyDeleteI just love a book that leaves a smile on my face.
