Summary
Callie Evans would rather hide out in her DJ sound booth than face the fact that she's in love with her best friend, notorious campus hottie Tayber King.
Tayber turns hooking up into an art form--no drama, no commitment, no lies, and nobody gets hurt. Nobody but Callie, that is. When she sees an opportunity to explore his sexier side using a fake online profile, she grabs it. Now her uninhibited alter-ego 'Sasha' is steaming up the screen, and Callie is breaking all of Tayber’s rules.
As Callie and Tayber get closer, online and off, she knows she has to confess. And risk losing him forever.
**For mature readers, contains strong language and adult situations.**
The Way I See It
The Opposite of Nothing was a super cute and steamy little read. This was a telling of young love. The two main characters had a lot of doubt in themselves they both felt as though they didn’t deserve to be happy or they were afraid to take the plunge. This was a fun read I wish it would’ve been longer or a bit more detailed. I really wanted to connect with the main characters but I’m afraid I didn’t get that opportunity because it was so short. This is a novella so I’m sure thats why. This was a great premise and the characters were very likable it just would’ve been nice to delve into their lives a bit more. Maybe one day we’ll get a full length novel. I’d love to check it out. I’m looking forward to seeing more from Ms. Slade I enjoyed her writing style and va-va-va-voom those steamy scenes were extra sexy!
T-ime, the more Callie and Tayber hang together the more torturous it is.
H-ope, Tayber is struggling and even though his heart pulls him to Callie he fears he doesn’t deserve her.
E-steem, Callie was seriously hurt in the past she is afraid of opening up to anyone.
O-pportunity, Callie spends time tutoring Tayber but she wishes their relationship was more.
P-romises, Tayber has always been alone his family is not something he is proud of all they’ve ever done is hurt him.
P-rize, Tayber is known for hooking up with meaningless girls he doesn’t do relationships because he doesn’t want more.
O-nly, Callie and Tayber have formed a true friendship and they don’t want to mess it up.
S-asha, a secret both Callie and Tayber hide should the truth come out things could implode.
I-ndecision, Callie has a friend in Jessa a night out on the town could prove dangerous.
T-urmoil, Tayber is hurting and he turns to his friend whom he finds solace in.
E-scape, Sasha can and Tayber have a connection that is hidden behind a veil but the emotions are real.
O-pinion, Callie knows Tayber is worth more than he gives himself credit for she will push him to be better.
F-amily, Tayber was left to fend for himself now his past has come back but it may be too late.
N-ervous, crossing a line neither could've imagined confuses Callie because she doesn’t know Tayber’s intentions.
O-wn, without knowing these two have given each other their hearts.
T-rust, Callie gives her all and admits a secret that could destroy their tenuous relationship.
H-esitant, Tayber doesn’t know if he can let his brother back in but the fact that he is truing is a start.
I-mpact, not being with Callie is painful Tayber will do what it takes to reconstruct the damage that was done.
N-ew, knowing what he knows now Tayber will embrace Callie fully and see her with different eyes.
G-ame, being together is the most natural thing for Callie and Tayber they play with each other and love what they share.
This story has potential for a lot more. There where a few things I would’ve done differently but it was very enjoyable and a quick read. This is something I recommend to those that enjoy a sweet and sexy read. Definitely a bit more brazen than what I’m used to regarding NA but sexy and fun none the less. I’m hoping and looking forward to seeing more from these cute characters!

Okay, now I'm sad. I agree the premise is awesome. It's too bad it was too short and the connections weren't there.
