My Review:

The first installment of the Last Call Series by Sawyer Bennett was AWESOME!!! Get ready for drama, humour, romance and steamy scenes. On the Rocks is the perfect reading escape!

Gabby Ward has been in love with her best friends brother since childhood. Hunter is the man of her dreams and she wants nothing more than for him to notice her. She takes matters into her own hands when on the night of her graduation she kisses him. Their kiss is perfect until Hunter pushes her away and tells her it was a mistake. That night will forever be remembered as the night that the man of her dreams broke her heart. Five years have passed and Hunter is back in town. He left the surfing world behind to be close to his family. Last Call is his life now and he has big plans for it. What he never expected was to have Gabby so involved in his plans. When her dad passed away, Gabby left college and took over his business. She is proud of what she has accomplished. When Hunter hires her for a project, sparks fly between them. Gabby is still hurt of how Hunter reacted after they shared that kiss five years ago. She knows that working with him will be a challenge, but she is determined to finish this project without falling into his arms. But, Hunter has other plans. As the days go by they fall for each other, but when an opportunity to go back to professional surfing presents itself, Hunter will have to make an important decision that could mean trouble in paradise.

Oh, my squeeeee!!! I really liked this book! This was my first time reading a book by Sawyer Bennett. I have heard amazing things about her OFF Series and I was really looking forward to reading one of her books. I'm really happy that I got a chance to review On the Rocks. My book besties were right!!! Her writing style is so much fun and captivating! The banter between the characters was awesome and all the characters form an interesting group that I loved to follow. 

Gabby and Hunter are crazy sexy together!!! I was happy to see their friendship grow into a great love story. They complete each other perfectly and were such an awesome couple to discover! I really connected with both of them right from the start and the more I read their story the more I fell in love with them.  Get your fan ready because these two lovebirds are SCORCHING HOT together! I lost count of how many times Hunter made me swoon! Holy Cannoli!!! This man is SEXY!!!! Like I said before I connected with them both, but I did have a virtual confrontation with my girl Gabby. Towards the end of the book she did something that really got me mad! I was literally screaming at her!!! What she did to Hunter is sooooo not Ok in my books! Hunter did not deserve that little moment of craziness from her! This book has dual POV's, which in my opinion is a gift that the author gives us. We get a bit of both worlds and it makes us connect even more with the main characters. What I really liked is that both characters were strong and confident. The storyline was predictable, but I did not mind since the friends to lovers stories are my favorite! I could read one every.single.day. 

What I did not expect is to be completely obsessed with Mr. Brody Markham! OMG!!!!! My heart was palpitating every single time he was in a scene. He's so captivating!!! I can't wait to read his story. I'm absolutely positive that it's going to be awesome. I can't remember the last time a character, who is not the main character of a book, captivated me in such a way. You know what they say about the quiet ones, eh? Oh, yes! Bring it!!! I'm ready for Mr. Brody Markham! ;)

I give, On the Rocks, by Sawyer Bennett 4 steamy, romantic, entertaining, fantastic, friends-to-lovers stars! If you are of fan of NA Contemporary Romance, this is a great book to add to your TBR list.
