Ladies, there's a talented new author that I want all you romance fans out there to read, and her name is Monica James.  Her debut novel, I Surrender was amazing!  If you have a thing for hot, sexy, sweet, and intense rockstars like myself, you will fall quickly and madly in love with Jasper White.  Sigh...  I've been looking forward to Surrender Me, especially after the cliffhanger ending in I Surrender, that had me needing to read the next installment immediately.  As much as I loved, I Surrender, I loved Surrender to Me even more!  

Surrender to Me starts in the present, where Ava is now engaged to Harper.  My first reaction to this news was, "What is she doing with that A** Hole?!!  All of a sudden I felt pretty upset, and thought to myself, "Ava, what did you do to screw things up with my dream guy?"  Well, we learn soon enough, when Ava flashes to the recent past and relives what lead up to her and Jasper breaking it off, as well as her current engagement to Harper.  I can't help sneer when I thing of Harper!  Ugh, he has got to be one of the worst fictional villains ever!)  Anyways, enough with my venting.  After I read what occurred, I realized that yet again, Jasper and Ava were victims of miscommunication, and idiotic decision making, which really frustrated me.  They both already had the odds stacked against them by being in a long distance relationship, and both being jealous, and insecure, when it came to their significant other, but add miscommunication, and lack of communication, and it's easy to see where everything went wrong! 

Nevertheless, I had hope that Ava and Jasper would find their way back to each other.  After all, the connection, love, attraction, and friendship they shared was special, and one of a kind.  Ava is Veronica's (V's) maid of honor, and Jasper is Lucus' best man.  However, the bride and groom didn't tell Ava and Jasper this bit of news because they knew that their two best friends were stubborn, and would refuse to be in the wedding, much less interact with their ex when things had ended so badly.  With the wedding around the corner, V and Lucas are up to no good, (especially V) and decide that they are tired of their best friends being stubborn and miserable without the person they love.  V can't stand Harper, knows that he isn't any good for her best friend and wants him out of the picture.  To top it off, Ava is not dressing or acting like herself, and instead is being the person Harper wants her to be.  V is determined to get her best friend back, and anyone would be lucky to have her for their bestie!  So V and Lucas find ways to mislead Ava and Jasper, and throw them together, alone, in as many situations as possible.  What ensues when these two are together is what makes this story amazing!!!

Surrender to Me is such an intense, passionate, angst-filled sequel!  This couple will drive you nuts, break your heart, have you screaming at them from your kindle, and leave you breathless for more!  Ms. James depicts emotion and reality very well.  This story read like a movie in my head.  I saw everything take place vividly.  I felt so much emotion, connected with and cared about these wonderful characters immensely.  Not only did I love Ava and Jasper, but I loved V and Lucas as well!  The plot in the story took me for a major loop!  I love surprises, and there were some big ones!  Surrender to Me left off in a bit of a cliffhanger, but for me it was a happy one!  That may not make sense, but if you read the story, you'll know what I mean!  Now, I need to get my hands on the last installment, Surrendered, which will be released early in 2014.

I give Surrender to Me 5 I'm Jumping up and down in excitement, This is a Fabulous Series, Read It Now Stars!!  If you are a big fan of Kim Karr's Connection Series, you should check out the I Surrender Trilogy.  Jasper reminds me a lot of River, and the sexy scenes in both of these series' are hot!  If you are looking for a great series, full of heat, passion, great characters, and a storyline that will keep you on your toes, add the I Surrender Trilogy to the top of your TBR!!!
