GR's Summary:
From acclaimed author Katie McGarry comes an explosive new tale of a good girl with a reckless streak, a street-smart guy with nothing to lose, and a romance forged in the fast lane
The girl with straight As, designer clothes and the perfect life-that's who people expect Rachel Young to be. So the private-school junior keeps secrets from her wealthy parents and overbearing brothers...and she's just added two more to the list. One involves racing strangers down dark country roads in her Mustang GT. The other? Seventeen-year-old Isaiah Walker-a guy she has no business even talking to. But when the foster kid with the tattoos and intense gray eyes comes to her rescue, she can't get him out of her mind.
Isaiah has secrets, too. About where he lives, and how he really feels about Rachel. The last thing he needs is to get tangled up with a rich girl who wants to slum it on the south side for kicks-no matter how angelic she might look.
But when their shared love of street racing puts both their lives in jeopardy, they have six weeks to come up with a way out. Six weeks to discover just how far they'll go to save each other.

Lindy's Thoughts:
Katie McGarry has struck gold with Crash Into You! It was fantastic! Phenomenal! Superb! Every time I open up a new book in this series, I feel like a kid on Christmas unwrapping a gift! I began the countdown, and had high expectations for Crash Into You. I have been in love with Isaiah since the beginning of this series, and in Dare You To, that love just grew. I was ecstatic to get to read this series, and really tried to savor and take my time reading this story. However, I couldn't help myself, and kept reading until my eyes refused to stay open any longer.
Ms. McGarry has such a gift when it comes to creating characters that are real, relatable, and make you care about what happens to them. I always get completely pulled in to her stories, and Crash Into You was no different. Isaiah has had a hard life. After his mother went to prison for armed robbery, he bounced around in the foster care system. He was forced to learn survival skills early on when he was beaten by the older and larger boys, as well as some of his foster parents in various homes. Isaiah had hope as a young child that his mother would come back for him, but after many years had passed without her return, he let go of that hope, became angry, and felt abandoned. As a 17 year old, Isaiah was hardened from his past demons, and had cultivated an image for himself on the streets that he was not to be messed with. Isaiah had considered Noah and Beth to be his only friends, and also, he considered them to be his only family.
It was so sad for me to see how rejected and upset Isaiah felt after Beth ended up with Ryan. I could tell that the anger he felt towards her, and how he cut off their friendship, really was caused by the deep rooted pain and devastation he was feeling. I fell even more in love with Isaiah's character, when I saw how loyal, and fiercely protective he was of those he loved. He would do anything, and I mean even give up his own life, if it meant protecting the people he cared about. In Isaiah's story, we meet his friend Abby, and his social worker Courtney, who grew on me once I saw how much she cared about his well-being. Abby was an interesting character. She was rough around the edges, grew up in poverty, and was loyal to Isaiah. She is a character that has a future story to tell, and I hope she ends up getting her own book in the series. Getting into Isaiah's head, when reading his perspective, brought his character to life. My heart broke for the inadequacy he felt. I wanted him to see how special he was, and I was glad that Rachel was the girl to show him unconditional love and acceptance.
Rachel was such a vulnerable character. She tried to be strong, but had been molded into what her parent's wanted her to be, which was a replacement for their older daughter, that they had lost to Cancer. Her parents kept having kids, till her mother had the daughter she wanted. I enjoyed meeting all of her brothers, and had a special fondness for West and her twin brother Ethan. Rachel was closest to these two brothers, but they were a bit too overprotective of her and treated her like she was frail. Even though her oldest brothers Gavin and Jack irritated me with their bossiness, I really enjoyed the interactions and scenes between all of the siblings.
Rachel's passion was cars. She hated shopping, girlie things, and public speaking. Yet, she was not accepted for who she really was, and was pressured to be the daughter her mother wanted. Meaning, she had a purple frilly room, went shopping and to the spa with her mother, and was expected to attend and speak at multiple fundraisers, even though these were all things that she disliked. Rachel suffered in silence from panic attacks, and the life that was suffocating her. However, once she met Isaiah she became free to be herself. She was finally free to share her passion of cars, and let someone in. The relationship between Isaiah and Rachel was beautiful, selfless, and passionate. The dynamic between these two amazing characters felt real to me, and I enjoyed every moment in the story when the two of them were together.

My Rating:
Crash Into You was a very emotional read for me. It was a very deep and multilayered story, that dealt with realistic characters who went through major trials and tribulations in their short lives. Even though they were from opposite socioeconomic backgrounds, they both had a lot in common, and strengthened one another through friendship, love, and unconditional acceptance. It was beautiful to see the character growth that occurred for both Isaiah and Rachel by the end of the story. Isaiah learned forgiveness, and how to let go of control, and Rachel learned that she needed to be honest with her loved ones, and take control of her own life. I highly recommend the Pushing the Limits Series, and Crash Into You. It is a series you will want for your library. You will treasure these characters stories, and want to read them over and over again. I give Crash Into You 5 Beautiful, Emotional, Phenomenal, and Addictive Stars! Add this series to the very top of your TBR list!
My Favorite Quotes:
"The pressure remains on my shoulder as the fingers of her other hand trace the compass tattooed on my forearm. I don't know what love is or how it should feel, but I know that when I'm with you I like who I am, and that's never happened to me before." (eARC, Loc. 2603)
~Isaiah
"When I'm with you, even my past seems like a bad dream, he says. I've sat on this hill a hundred times, and all I used to see were lights that represented places where I wasn't wanted, where I never belonged. Now, when you aren't with me, I look east and know that one of those lights represents you, and I don't feel alone anymore." (eARC, Loc. 2939)
~Isaiah
"This is who I am, Rachel. Accept it or not. The tattoos won't wash off. The earrings will never change. I am who I am and nothing more. I'm loyal to a chosen few, I always keep my word, and I'll protect you with my life. I scare the hell out of most people, but you will never have anything to fear from me. Choose. Love me or don't. But tell me now." (eARC, Loc. 3221)
~Isaiah
Crash Into You was absolutely amazing!! I loved it! I’m going to be honest here though I don’t think anyone will ever be as amazing as Noah and Echo. Having said that I’ve ALWAYS loved Noah! It was a delight to get to know his inner workings. We find out so much and even certain pretenses I believed to be true were wrong. We get to see the whole gang which was a treat. After the way things ended in Dare You To,(with Beth I mean) I didn’t see how this broken trio would come together. Luckily Ms. McGarry is a magician and has casted an amazing spell. Everyone has their struggles and we get to see that things still aren’t perfect but everyone is trying. Sorry about talking so much about the past but I’m like all “Gushy Fangirl” anytime there is an Echo sighting. Not gonna Lie y’all this is a MUST read, regardless whether your a fan of the series or if its the first one you pick up.
Cars, Isaiah has only ever known piece underneath the hood of a car. When Rachel is behind the wheel of her car she feels alive and strong.
Reality, Rachel has had to put a false face forward and try to measure up to a ghost. Isaiah, has a makeshift family and outside forces are trying to break it apart.
Align, fate and chance has brought an unlikely duo into a dangerous situation. Rachel looks to prove a point, our favorite protector finds his Angel.
Stakes, danger find this unlikely duo and it will take trust and faith to get passed the hurdles that life has thrown their way.
Horsepower, will be one of their saving graces everyone is forced to make sacrifices falling in love is not one of them.
Intricate, lies and masks are the only things that surround Rachel. Certain pains prove to be too much. Lies and the burdens they carry intensify almost destroying a family.
Nitro, introduces a new element as a last resort Isaiah and Rachel will keep the option on the table.
Trouble, so much hard work comes crashing down when what should have been the “safest place” becomes “easy pickings.” It seems no one can escape turmoil.
Opportunity, one chance left two unlikely friends find themselves bonding over blood and broken dreams.
Yielding, Isaiah refuses to give into his heart and his instincts to protect. His heart wants to beat strong but she needs to be set free to fly.
Oppression, what was once a cloud over every aspect of Rachel’s life will become the fuel she needs to pull the veil off of everyones eyes.
Understanding and acceptance lead to compromises on everyones behalf. Love and devotion seem to have been the keys all along.
This is a great read Isaiah has always had a piece of my heart and with this book he takes more. I’ve wanted him to find his happiness since the beginning of this amazing adventure and I’m so glad he found a girl that understood and loved him for who he is.

Ro's Take on this Journey:
Crash into You, by Katie McGarry, was a wonderful addition to the (Pushing the Limit Series.) In fact, it is my favorite so far, though I loved Isaiah since he was introduced into the series, in the previous segment, and I felt crushed for his troubled, lonely, and abusive life. Isaiah was bullied, treated like an animal, deserted, and made to stand up for himself, because there is no one for him to count on when he needed someone most. I've been looking forward to this for book a very long time, and it was well worth the wait! Crash into You, is very dark, leaving the reader with foreboding.
Isaiah is tough on the outside, but soft on the inside. He has a beautiful heart and he needed to learn to forgive his mother for leaving him in the system 10 years ago, never coming back for him. He also had to forgive everything else that he carpet bagged about throughout his life. He only has two family/friends, and they are Noah and Beth. Isaiah has been living so long without love and acceptance that his wall is about 10 feet high. He won't let anyone else in that can hurt him, until he meets Rachel. They are polar opposites, except where it counts, in the heart. Isaiah has been searching for acceptance for a very long time, and in Rachel's arms, he finally finds it.
Rachel is a good girl who happens to be very rich. She doesn't care what money can give her, because the one thing she wants in life cannot be bought. She is living in the shadow of her deceased sister, colleen. She can never live up to the sister that died. Her parents won't let her forget what they lost, and she looses another little piece of herself every time the comparisons happen again. Her family doesn't know about her panic attacks, or that they leave her so distraught, scared, and alone.
In an illegal drag race, Isaiah and Rachel meet, they are attracted, but at the same time seem like polar opposites, and Rachel is in culture shock when she lays her eyes on Isaiah. He is rough around the edges, tatted, has piercings, gives off scary looks, is great looking, smart, poor, and loves danger. Rachel is good, kind, sweet, conservative, fights for her own identity, strong, and adores danger. Together, their level of danger reaches an all time peak, and becomes combustible! The fireworks shoot off and the story blossoms into a beautiful love story. Rachel is also searching for acceptance for who she really is, and not the shadow of her sister that her family sees. The characters are well rounded, and they grow and learn. Getting Isaiah's perspective will break your heart. He is actually a little timid boy inside. I loved him! He has had enough heartache for the whole system. It will tear you up inside. This story will lead you through a wide range of emotions, including turmoil. These two are both loyal, loving souls, searching, giving, and wish people could accept them for who and what they are.
These two; love cars, drag racing, are good together, and they become much more than either ever thought they could become together. There is so much of a rush, danger, excitement, and are so many swoon worthy moments. Ms. Garry will not let you down! A must read for your TBR. These two unlikely people capture your heart, and turn it upside down. Together they are explosive...just like dynamite! The surprises, twists, turns, and excitement never end. Ms. McGarry knows how to steam up the Kindle!!!
Will Isaiah and Rachel get their HEA, read and find out! ;)
