ARC for Review
Rain Wilson isn’t ever going to love again.
It’s a promise she made the day her boyfriend died in a water park accident, one she still blames herself for. Now she’s a senior lifeguard in a new town with a new pool and she’s just going to keep her head down and everyone safe.
Until a mysterious guy follows her into the waves at the pre-season bonfire and kisses her senseless. It’s just one mistake, and Rain is determined to put it behind her, until the dark haired, blue eyed hottie turns out to be her new co-supervisor Knight Mcallister.
Knight is hot, tatted, and carrying baggage of his own. He’s not happy about having Rain for a co-supervisor, and he’s even less happy about his attraction to her.
But between lifeguard drama, hot underwater kisses, and a growing attraction between them that can’t be stopped, Knight and Rain are being pulled deeper into their pasts, and realizing that sometimes too much broken can make a relationship impossible.
Then again sometimes it’s the broken parts of us that fit together best.
The Way I see It
This was a really sweet and fun read. I had a blast finding out more about these characters. I recommend Deeper to anyone that wants to get away for a few hours and delve into the minds of life guards.
D-espair, Rain has had to face something she would never wish on anyone. Her new mission in life is to make sure everyone is safe and following the rules.
E-ntranced, seeing Knight across the bonfire sets something off in her, something she never knew was there.
E-ntertainment, Rain knows what she must do but Knight captures her thoughts and keeps her from her tasks. Rain must get to know Knight and find out what makes him tick.
P-erception, she is cold and closed off. Knight will push at her boundaries and make her see what life could be like if she were to just let go and be free.
E-verything, all of their nightmares come to the surface. Knight will face his ghosts realizing he must help Rain find and fight hers.
R-esolve, after fighting each other after fighting their destinies, they must come together to embrace one and another. In order to find peace both Knight and Rain must accept whats in their hearts and fight…. fight for the future they both crave.
Seriously, this was a different entertaining read. I would have liked a more steamy scene between Rain and Knight. There are also a few things I would have done differently. In the end I’m glad they were able to face their fears and come together the way they were meant to be.
My Fav’s
Rain
She is so committed to making things right in her life. She is willing to sacrifice all she has left to make amends. That takes courage and I’m so happy she was able to hold fast to her promise until it was completely out of her hands.
My Rating
4.0 Park, Slide, Ocean, Bon fire, Second chances, Sweetly Love filled stars. For an entertaining somewhat different read check out this book.

ReplyDeleteI love what you did there! :)
ReplyDeleteThis book sounds good. A pair of broken people finding themselves in each other. It sounds so sweet. And I'm glad that you like Rain. She doesn't seem like a helpless or clueless girl even after what she has gone through. I like MC that are strong and courageous. :)
