Goodreads Summary:
When a tragic accident leaves Rhane Evans — lead vocalist for the rock band Fate’s Crazy — permanently unable to speak above a whisper and kills the love of her life, she moves across the state to pick up the pieces. Shattered, Rhane struggles to understand what happened the night of the accident, an accident everyone blames her for, even though she wasn’t driving the car.
Enter Ian Callahan. He’s the one person who may have a more tumultuous past than Rhane. Though they try hard to deny the sizzling attraction between them, it proves nearly impossible. When Ian’s troubled past threatens to tear them apart, they begin to believe happiness isn’t in their cards.
Because Fate’s Crazy that way…
My Review:
The way I see Rhane |
To pursue her dream of music, Rhane leaves everything behind. She starts a new life with her rock band FATE'S CRAZY and her boyfriend Dalton. When tragedy strikes, Rhane is left broken.
Everything about renovations is easy for Ian Callahan. When it comes to his personnal life, not so much. Ian works hard to rebuild his life. On his journey to achieve his goals, he encounters many unexpected problems that will leave him looking for solutions.
One moment is all it takes to destroy your life...
Fate's crazy that way.
After losing her boyfriend in an accident that she can't remember, Rhane is left emotionally damaged and without a voice. After 6 months of convalescence in the hospital, she starts from scratch with her uncle ''T'' and Gwen, a former army nurse who was hired by her uncle to keep her company.
When her grandmother died, she willed everything to Rhane. The house that she now considers her HOME needs a lot of renovations. Her uncle has arranged for different contractors to help her fix the house to her liking. What she never expected was for one of them to actually make her heart race out of control.
Ian Callahan's life is far from being perfect, so many things have gone wrong. When he meets Rhane, he is immediately attracted to her. As time goes by and the two of them get closer, secrets from his past come crashing down on him. He is confronted with Rhane's stubbornness when he tries to explain. Even though she is closing down the doors on him, he will fight for her love with everything that he's got.
I Breathe You is all about giving life a second chance and embracing every emotion that comes with it.
''Life is like a RAINBOW. You need both the sun and the rain to make its colors appear.''-Unknown
My Rating:
I give I Breathe You 4 1/2 emotional, fantastic and fascinating stars! Let me start by saying that the author wrote one of the most beautiful dedication that I have ever read. I now have it on my motivation board. This is a little part of it:
''Remember, when no one else believes in you, you have to believe in yourself! By all means, don't be afraid to dream big dreams and if you think you can, or can't, you're probably right.''
The author took us on an amazing journey in which we discover that no matter what obstacle life brings us, we have to assess the situation we are in and be willing to invest all that we have to achieve what we want. All the characters captivated me by bringing their own grain of salt to the story. Rhane and Ian have amazing chemistry together. Their story kept me turning the pages and left me wanting more. I'm anxiously waiting for the release of I Breathe You, too.
