Nineteen-year-old Cheyenne tries to portray the perfect life to mask the memories of her past. Walking in on her boyfriend with another woman her freshman year in college threatens that picture of perfection.
Twenty-one-year-old Colt never wanted college and never expected to amount to anything, but when his mom's dying wish is for him to get his degree, he has no choice but to pretend it's what he wants too.
Cheyenne needs a fake boyfriend to get back at her ex and Colt needs cash to take care of his mom, so they strike a deal that helps them both. But what if Cheyenne’s past isn’t what she thought? Soon they’re trading one charade for another—losing themselves in each other to forget about their pain. The more they play their game, the more it becomes the only thing they have that feels real.
Both Cheyenne and Colt know life is never easy, but neither of them expect the tragedy that threatens to end their charade and rip them apart forever.

The Way I See It
ERMERGERSH #LOVE! What a great book Charade was! Lindy kept telling me to read it because she knew how much I would like it!!
I must say...
She.Was.Right.
As.Usual.
I loved the way Charade came together it is New Adult at its finest! Love this new genre and I love the way Ms Dawn tells this moving heart breaking and heart building story. *Le Sigh* I cried for Colton and I cried for Chey...Tear counter tally marks = 4 Gah!!! so good!!
C-hance, an encounter that draws Chey directly towards Colt. She has never witnessed anyone stand up to her a-Hole ex.
H-idden, a fear, a past a dreaded nightmare that claws its way up and chokes Chey every opportunity she gives it.
A-nger, towards life, towards his father, towards all of the circumstances that have caused him to push everyone away.
R-eluctance to play the game and the realization that it has become the most important and “real” thing they have.
A-bashed, used to being on top, at the realization of his loss, this awful snake promises to strike and hold true to his word.
D-arkness, a dreaded day that threatened to destroy Colt turns into a day that could destroy many more.
E-nsconced, in each other, in their love, in their promises for the day, for their futures, together they will become better, for one and other, for their love, and to find their happiness.
I say “seriously” a lot but seriously Charade was such a great read I loved the way Colt was with Chey! He could infuriate her, but with his next breath he would make the demons go away. If you like NewAdult or are debating on a NewAdult book this is one I definitely recommend.
My Fav’s
Cheyenne
Awesome Opossum ;) She is so strong and fun and funny. If I were Andy I’d try to get her to let me in as well. During the beginning of the book she is closed off because of her painful past. It takes the very delectable Colton to break down her walls and they laugh together and love together! *sigh*
Colton
Cocky + Bad boy + Charmer + Noble + Tattoo’s = one sexy SwoonWorthy Book Boyfriend...Yep add him to the list! COLT.Is.FLIPPIN.AhMayZing!!! GAAAAAHHHHHHHH!! Sorry had to gush, these two are awesome for each other and I can’t wait to see how they are doing in Facade. *fingers crossed*
My Fav Quote
“This isn’t a Fu#@ing game anymore. No charades here. I don’t know exactly what to call it, but whatever it is, it’s ours. I’m going to latch onto it. And never let go.” ~Colt (Nook pg. 112)
