Waiting On Wednesday (WOW) is a weekly event that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating at A Bookish Escape.
Unchained (Nephilim #1) by J. Lynn Expected Publishing Date: September 17, 2013 |
Goodreads Summary:
Between the pissed off creatures that want demon-hunter Lily Marks dead and the fallen angel who just...wants her, Lily is about ready to trade in forever for a comfy job in a cubicle farm.
The fact that she and Julian are civil to one another is enough to have her thrown out of the Sanctuary, but she can't shake her not-so-angelic stalker or how he brings her dangerously close to ecstasy.
Her forbidden relationship with Julian provides the perfect fuel for suspicion when a traitor is discovered to be working within the Sanctuary. Lily quickly finds herself hunted by well, everyone.
Her only hope is to discover the real traitor before she loses everything--and she'll need Julian's help. That is, if Julian is really there to help her...and not destroy her.
Yeah, being a Nephilim isn't everything it's cracked up to be.

Why I Can't Wait For Unchained:
There are so many reasons that I am excited for this book! First off, I love J. Lynn aka Jennifer L. Armentrout! Every book that I have read of hers, has become part of my favorite's shelf! Also, I love New Adult Books! However, most of the NA Books that I have read have been contemporary romance, so reading a NA paranormal romance, will be a nice change of pace. Finally, I LOVE reading stories with Angels, Fallen Angels, and Nephilim. I was hooked once I read Lauren Kate's Fallen Series, The Hush Hush Series by Becca Fitzpatrick, and Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins! I convinced Ria to read these books, and now she is a huge Angel fan too! I've been trying to convince Ro to try some Angel books, but she's more into contemporary. So you mix in one of my favorite authors, with my favorite age group (New Adult,) and add my favorite paranormal being, Angels, and what do you get? Well, I think you get the perfect combination for an epic/awesome story, and I can't wait to read it!!!!

Thanks Jessica! Your Welcome!
DeleteI saw that Jennifer Armentrout was going to be writing under another name but I wasn't sure what and what age group. I keep my blog MG and YA and am sticking my toes in the New Adult hot tub (that's what I call it). This would be perfect! I love the sizzle J.A. writes in her YA books. I can't imagine what her New Adult book would be like! Great Pick! Going to put that on the buy list right now!
ReplyDeleteHeather
Oh yeah, there's a whole lot of "fireworks" going off in her New Adult books! Beyond that, she always keeps me entertained with her story telling skills. Please let me know what you think, when you read one of her NA books! I'd like your perspective, based off of the fact that you Mainly read MG and YA.
DeleteExcellent pick! Armentrout always seems to write the most fun books. Thanks for sharing!
